Maija’s Fall
Dana Johannsen wrote this great piece for Stuff about a female jockey, Maija Vance, who feared she would never walk again after suffering severe spinal damage in a horror fall. Jason Dorday shot some beautiful video and images which I used as content to produce this long-form story in an online publishing platform called ‘Shorthand’ I designed the layout, interactions and created the Illustrations to enhance the content sympathetically.
